As the Law Students’ Society, we are passionate about enriching the law student experience and supporting social justice. We are the largest club at the University, and one of the oldest. By engaging with and joining the Society, your years at university are not only more fulfilling, but you are also better prepared, with the skills and resources for life beyond your studies.

I must say, some of my best friends and memories at university have come about thanks to the Society. You too, can join this thoroughly rewarding experience.

Law school need not be a purely academic pursuit, and it certainly need not be daunting. This is our mission. I strongly encourage you to be a part of our activities, whether as a participant or as part of the Committee tasked with delivering them.

It is a privilege to welcome you all as your 2025 University of Wollongong Law Students’ Society President.

Having chosen law, a world of opportunities awaits before you. If you are joining us as a first-year, you are part of an approximately 300 strong cohort. Else, you are one of almost 1500 law students here at the School. Furthermore, the School has thousands of alumni who have gone on to outstanding careers in the profession and beyond. We are in good company.

Here at the University of Wollongong School of Law, we are fortunate to study at a Law School committed to developing both our theoretical and practical understanding of the law. The University, and specifically the School of Law, ranks highly. We should be proud of our choice.
